Google Angel why do I blog?

When Sugar Momma and I went to see Dinner With Schmuck's this weekend I put the ticket stubs in my pocket and when I took them out when we got home I saw that they had my name printed on them. Am I that big of a celebrity in the MIDDLE of the fields that I get tickets engraved with my name on them? The rest of my family says the "mat" is an abbreviation for MATTinee (okay, they said "matinee" with one "T") but come on. Now they name an entire movie time period after me? This is ridiculous I just want to be treated like everyone else. I wanna walk like you, talk like you do; I can learn to be human too.

Whatever happened to concert T-shirts? You MIDDLE-agers all remember how we had to get concert T-shirts for every show we went to? I even remember giving money to people who were going to concerts so I looked like I was cool and went to all of those concerts. Okay...the secret's out; I wasn't as cool as you thought I was. But I made up for it by becoming cooler than you think I am now!

Some of the Cincinnati Bengals were talking about a new a website (and mobile application) that allows you to go to the bathroom at the movies and not miss anything. I am pretty good at timing when to go if I have to but this is fool-proof (perfect for me). I did go while watching Dinner With Schmuck's and I took a chance and missed nothing important. If the guys would have told me about this site one day earlier I would have known for sure. The site is called Runpee.com (www.runpee.com). It tells you exactly when to go, how long you have to get back and if you want to read what's going on while you're indisposed they have an app you can download for your mobile device that has the dialogue of what you're missing. From now on I can get the LARGE 55-gallon drum of Diet Pepsi!

Did you notice that new red Yelp square at the top of the margin over there ---->? I found that my blog page is becoming a little cluttered so, since I am doing my restaurant reviews on Yelp.com also (thanks to my pal Stacee) I thought I would just put that up there and you can click right on the one you want to read about. I will still do them and probably put them in the margin for a week or so but this will allow you to access old reviews for ideas for wine joints and restaurants and whatever ultra-cool things I find. Also visit Stacee's reviews...you can get her reviews off of mine as she is my friend on Yelp.

I mentioned in my last blog that I have been evaluating my blog and trying to figure out why I am doing it and what direction I should take it. I like having it as kind of letters to you everyday since we just don't write any more. I thought it would be great when my ashes were floating around the World's oceans so there is some family history (as embarrassing as it might be). But it's much more than that. I think it may help to spark thought in people and entertain them so they can forget about their day-to-day problems even if for a short time. I have always wanted to make a difference and maybe this is a small way to do that? I also like that the blog has let me become close with people I knew but not as well as I feel I do because of the blog. You are really amazing people. There's really nothing MIDDLE about how wonderful you are. Sappy, I know, but I'm a sap what can I blog? I guess it gives me a sense of community. I started the blog to help continue to motivate me to keep losing weight and find a good job and continue to write because other than my family and friends writing is my great passion; with enough practice maybe I'll get good at it. I am still working on my screenplay and it is coming along pretty well and I think that has to do with this blog (and my friend Twain who will be on stage with me as my motivator when I accept the Oscar for Best Screenplay). Long story long, I don't know where I want to go with the blog but I think I am headed there anyway and as long as you keep reading I will keep blogging. The "page impressions" are growing every week so I think slowly people are starting to share the blog with others or maybe people are stumbling across us on their own. So...that didn't solve anything - let me know if you have any suggestions. I am still exploring the idea of a podcast (just sounds cool); maybe I can do it live from my new favorite place The House Cafe (thehousecafe.net).

I just did a Google search for "matt in the middle" looking for "images" and there are several from my blogs that are listed as coming from this blog. It's like I have a Google Angel or something. Keep moving me up that Google search ladder Angel :) If you are going to have an angel on your shoulder you can do A LOT worse than a Goggle Angel!

Alright I've blogged on long enough like usual. Thanks again for reading this and passing it on to your fiends; I'm glad people pretend to like it. I promise not to turn it into a cult or anything though that may be something we can take a look at in a year or two (just kidding I think). I hope you have a nice Monday. Monday is open mic night at The House and Sugar Momma will be out of town...whose in (TWSS)? I'll grab my bongos (TWSS). Blog you later...
