Win a Jackpot Yet?

I should get a forehead tattoo to make the Bat Signal next time
It's 13:22 and I have spent most of the day reading. After that I went to get my hair cut. This is the first time I have ever had my eyebrows trimmed. I am afraid, based on that, I will soon have to change the name of the blog to Matt In The Twilight or Matt Over The Hump or something. After he haircut I went next door to the place when I have been buying my Powerball tickets (Schnuck's - a grocery store based out of St. Louis) and, as it turn-out, I am still playing on my original stake. To recap and extend my winning-streak: I started with $6 burning a hole in my pocket buying three tickets; they are $2 each, as you may know). That $6 turned into $4 which I rolled into two new tickets. Then that $4 turned into $5 which then turned into $8.. That $8 then turned into $4 and that $4 was a push as it turned into a different $4. So, I have two new tickets for tomorrow night's drawing which will, if odds play-out as they should, the way odds do with my streak, turn into $10. I have vowed to take the cash if they turn into double-digit winnings or greater. Will I have that resolve or will I be the typical gambler on a streak and play anyway and, eventually. lose it all?

Also, when I was at Schnuck's, I grabbed a tuna sandwich, some cole slaw and a bag of Lay's Baked Potato Chips. They are not chips made from baked potatoes rather they are chips that are baked rather than deep fried. I much prefer them to the regular chips and they are probably better for me though the others would be better if I ever plan to reach my goal of weighing 300 pounds at least once before I die. I was sad to step on the scale this morning and see that I lost weight. I cannot even gain weight properly. I would rather lose at the weight thing than at the Powerball thing though.
They look closer to them than I do - maybe that's why I am not on the show

Tomorrow night Cha Cha and I are taking my parent out for dinner (The Hillside Restaurant) and then to The Egyptian Theater (right next door to the restaurant) to see Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis. It is, in all actuality, a Dean and Jerry tribute show and one of the real ones (Dean) is dead so it would be a much different show if Dean were there. Jerry, however, is still alive and still active, though not as much as he once was, with the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation. Maybe the real Jerry will show-up; if he were to show-up anywhere I know it would be in Dekalb, IL.. Tony Lewis plays Jerry Lewis in this show and he looks a great deal like Jerry. I do not believe he is related though Jerry does have a son named Anthony. I have always liked Jerry Lewis and I am a huge Dean Martin fan, I remember always watching The Dean Martin Show every week as a youngster and we helped with Jerry's telethon (the local broadcast in Rockford, IL) for many years when I was in the YMCA Indian Guides. And, of course, we loved all of the Martin and Lewis movies.

On Sunday we will be celebrating Jill's sister's birthday at Pizza Villa. Before the weekend is done we will probably have put quite a bit of money back into the local economy. I hope I win a big Powerball jackpot soon so we can afford to keep all of these local merchants in business. Maybe, if we do hit the big one (TWSS), I will just buy a local business with my IOU winnings.

The kitchen cupboards are about done being stained but now Jill thinks they are still too dark. So, sometime before now and when I put the cupboard doors back on we are going paint them something closer to white (beige or cream or maybe even white?). I have been busting my hump for about a week and now I have to keep going. It is like those punishments in the military where a Sergeant will tell a soldier to dig him a hole and then another Sgt. will come along and tell him to get the dirt off of his clean path and put it back in the hole. I remember that happened in Cool Hand Luke too. How am I supposed to get all of my research done and get my novel written with all of this cupboard painting and staining and sealing and priming... Maybe I should get books on tape and listen while I work (add Snow White whistling in your head right here). I got a lot of reading done last night and will probably this weekend before I restart the painting Monday after all of the birthday celebrating is over.
It seems like a never-ending proposition!

Okay, enough for me today. we had to turn the heat back on because it was pretty chilly here last night. It is supposed to get down into the high 20's and low 30's for the next three or four nights. That's okay because that means I can wear mt trench coat and my German CRUSHABLE hat to the Dean and Jerry show - stylin' and profilin' again! Have a great night; keep each other warm. I will probably blog tomorrow since the show isn't until the evening and I don;t have to paint until the weekend is done. Thank you for spending a few minutes with me; I always like spending time with you. TTTT?...MITM (out) TA!
