Today's Blog-About Town!

I am at the library and I just finished watching 11/22/63. I have to say that the movie (mini-series I suppose) is every bit as the novel by Stephen King. I know I was said it here before but I think James Franco did an excellent job as Jake Amberson. I tried to figure out why I like watching the movie at the library and I can only surmise that, maybe, with the bookshelves right in front of me makes me feel like I am in the Texas School Book Depository? I have been in the real one and I have been on the grassy knoll exactly where the second gunman was supposedly standing. If you are an old fart like me I recommend stopping there if you happen to be in Texas seeing a Rangers' and an Astros' game some time.

Of course, I walked to the library again this week. I took a slightly different path (less traveled) than last week and this week was 3.92 miles. I have not decided which path I will take back home but it should be about the same distance I imagine. I would walk by Subway and get a chopped salad but, once I get over by Walgreen's on Lincoln Highway there are nor more sidewalks in that direction until after Subway. It is not worth risking death, on purpose, only for a salad. To save a life or do something for someone in need it would be an easy decision but I have salad stuff at home and I will be hungry after another four miles anyway. I had a banana before I came over so I should live.

On the walk over I listened to the Elton John station on Pandora and, for that entire walk, I only heard two Elton John songs. I think I heard four or five Billy Joel songs. I like Joel's music but, when I hear the music, I cannot think that he is an a-hole. On the way home I have decided to add a George Harrison station - he was not an a-hole as far as I can ascertain. I bet I hear a lot of Beatles' music as well as John, Paul and Ringo's stuff too.
Hello doppelganger!
It was much colder that I realized it would be on the walk. I did have gloves and a stocking cap on but I wished, when the wind was blowing into my face, that I had brought my hat that covered my face too. I think the wind will be mostly at my back on the way home? I also had issues with my earbuds continuing to work their ways slowly out of my ears. I think it is because I walk too rapidly and my earbuds cannot keep up. If I had known that it was going to be so cold today I may have waited to get my hair cut yesterday. Fabio and I went to Sport Clips. I showed the lady a photo of Daniel Craig from Casino Royale and she did my hair exactly like the photo. While driving home I saw my hair in the rear view mirror and it looked like I was seeing James Bond in the mirror. Then I titled the mirror and noticed that the similarity ended just below the eyebrows. My cheeks are much chubbier that his, his eyes are much bluer than my brown eyes and he doesn't have the extra chin that I have (at least it is only one extra chin these day - no longer a Chinese phone book). I just wanted to get a shorter haircut so, if I am able to go to Puerto Rico with my peeps in a few weeks, I can tan most of my head and not have those weird head tan lines after going on vacation and getting a haircut.

I have lots of dangling participles in my life right now. Puerto Rico in a few weeks? Las Vegas in September? Upcoming job interviews (multiple) outcomes? Will I ever be able to go back to my current job working over-nights?

This is just like the ones I received  - BEWARE!
I received a message on my phone this morning, supposedly from Google, saying that my phone had a virus that would effect my battery because of adult websites I have visited. Of course, I have not visited any adult websites or I would not be writing about this. Maybe poker websites are adult websites? If that is the case I am guilty. I restarted the phone and it seems fine now. I am just wondering what kind of a scam this could be and, if people fall for it? The internet says it is Trojan malware and, thankfully, I did not hit the "ok" button. It is like a rogue website trying to trick people into downloading their crap. Thank goodness I know, for certain, I did not visit any "adult websites." You cannot fool a guy with a 007 haircut and chubby cheeks!

I should probably end so I can start my four-mile hike in the frozen MIDDLEwest back home. I am going to end the blog today with something that I found very touching and heartwarming because I need some of my parts warmed. Thank you for stopping by and, maybe after I weigh-in tomorrow, I will blog again. MAYBE!? Have a great rest of your day and your night and here are heartwarming last words for today- if I get hit by a car or something they may even be my last words???

"We did not ask for this room or this music, we were invited it. Therefore, because the dark surrounds us, let us turn our faces to the light. Let us endure hardship to be grateful for plenty. We have been given pain to be astounded by joy, We have been given life to deny death. We did not ask for this room or this music. But, because we are here, let us dance." TA!
